Matt Williamson is among the top shooting coaches in the world. The creator of the FOREST (Pro Shot’s shooting acronym) he has instructed over 1,000 Pro Shot Camp & Clinics in his years with Pro Shot. He is the founder of the Pro Post System & Pro Handles System which along with Pro Shot, make up the Pro Skills System. He identifies himself as a student of the game and is dedicated to teaching basketball skills to every level of player both young and old.
Coach Williamson has instructed thousands of players at all levels in the art of shooting using the Pro Shot System. He is a certified professional trainer and strength and conditioning coach, and has the ability to break down the game and it’s skills into the simplest components. He has been a part of the game of basketball in every aspect including spectating, officiating, administrating, coaching and playing.
Coach Williamson has playing experience on the Div. II level and has played in the VBL in Venice Beach, CA (a popular street ball league in Southern California). He has coaching experience on the youth, high school, AAU, and college level. He has trained numerous college and professional players both in the US and abroad. He has learned from and worked with many great coaches throughout his time as both a player and a coach. He has worked with players at the University of Louisville, Long Beach State University, Ohio University (who won the 2015 NCAA award for most improved shooting team)
Coach Williamson is currently the Head Men’s Basketball Coach at Hocking College in Nelsonville, OH and also serves as the Head Assistant Basketball Coach for the Women’s Basketball team.
Coach Williamson also directs the Scoring Camps, Guard Camps, and Ultimate Player Camps for Pro Shot.
He is a graduate of Ohio University with a bachelor’s in Sport Science & Human Performance as well as the University of Dayton with a Master’s Certificate in Teaching Education.
